Who we are

Steve Amos

promo.jpgSteve Amos has worked as an independent training consultant since September 1998, specialising in management skills, interviewing skills and training for trainers. Steve has worked with a wide range of clients in the public, private and voluntary sectors.

Steve is committed to delivering high quality and cost effective training and development solutions which respond to customer needs and achieve agreed objectives. He is a clear, succinct communicator with excellent listening and questioning skills.

In January 2006 Steve was awarded an MSc in Training and Performance Management by the University of Leicester. His dissertation was on the application of competency frameworks in the government sector.

Before starting SATC Steve worked as a trainer for the Lord Chancellor’s Department. He was involved in developing training to support an intensive period of organisational change, including the implementation of competency-based HR systems and the development of new management teams. As a manager he worked in a variety of roles, including three years as manager of a county court.

Associate Profiles

Roland Webster

Roland Webster has been an independent training and development consultant since 1992. Prior to working independently he was HR training manager at the Sports Council. He has designed and delivered a range of leadership and management skills training, which has given him a thorough knowledge of the issues of managing and delivering services in diverse, changing and challenging environments. He works regularly at corporate and departmental level with a range of clients including government departments (in the UK and overseas) and local authorities. Roland also delivers trainer-training programmes, including CIPD accredited qualifications. Roland is a chartered fellow of the CIPD and has the CIPD certificate in Training Practice.

Berry Winter

Berry provides training and coaching in areas such as interpersonal skills, communication skills, team building, customer management and presentation skills. She is able to work at a variety of management levels and across a range of projects from concept and strategy to delivery. Berry’s background is in telecoms, marketing and sales including BT, CACI Ltd and Axiom Consulting. In 2003 she set up The Coach Stop, a personal effectiveness and coaching practice to work with individuals who want to increase their success both at work and in their personal lives. Berry has a Diploma in Life Coaching.

Debbie Moore 

Debbie Moore is a highly experienced trainer, coach and assessor. She moved into consultancy in 2001 and her main areas of interest are leadership development, personal effectiveness and coaching. She has designed and delivered management interventions for organisations such as the Health & Safety Executive, The Ministry of Defence, American Express, Service Policies Ltd and Beefeater Restaurants. Debbie has provided coaching for senior managers with DEFRA, ABN Amro and Fidelity Investments. Debbie began her career in retail management before moving into training and development in the financial services sector. With NPI (Pensions Management) she was responsible for the training and development of the Customer Services Division. During this time she completed her MSc in Management Development and began studying the organisational applications of Transactional Analysis, which continues to be an area of study. Her last corporate role was as Human Resources Development Manager for European Services with American Express. Debbie is an NLP Master Practitioner and holds a Diploma in Performance Coaching. She is a Licentiate Fellow of ITOL.

Harish Davda

Harish has worked in learning and development for 20 years. He has worked as a senior manager in an educational environment and taught extensively in colleges and a London-based business school.

Harish has a passion for unlocking human potential in the workplace, integrating business strategies with HR strategies, achieving both personal and organisational transformation for clients through accessing wisdom from past masters and aiming for goals that they previously thought unattainable.

His recent projects have included workshops with senior managers, management development consultancy with a large not-for-profit organisation, HR strategy facilitation and project management training for a major London-based client.

David Foster

David Foster is a highly accomplished sales trainer with over 30 years experience in the field. He has a wealth of corporate experience, having worked for multinational blue chip companies in numerous high profile sales management and sales training positions. Over the last two years he has worked with over 35 local businesses in over 30 product and service sectors and helped them increase their sales.

David’s approach to the design and delivery of his workshops and courses is to tailor them to the needs of the client - their products and services, the market place they sell to and, most importantly, the people in the business who need to engage with the customer to make and maintain the sale.

David is a Fellow of the Institute of Sales and Marketing and has numerous qualifications, including the ICS Diploma in Training and the CIM Advanced Certificate in Marketing. He has been featured in business publications including South East Business and is in the process of writing his first sales training book.

Rob Neil

Rob Neil is an experienced development trainer and recruitment interviewer. He attained the CIPD Certificate in Training Practice in May 2000, while working as a training officer with the Lord Chancellor’s Department. He went on to design, facilitate and evaluate courses in subjects including leadership, change management and diversity. In February 2005 he won a secondment to run a UK-wide Community Leadership Scheme as part of the Government’s work towards establishing a Commission for Equality and Human Rights. Rob is also a founding member of the National Coalition of Black Led Organisations (www.ncblo.co.uk) and served as their first elected Vice Chair from March 2004 to November 2005. Rob also sits as a trustee for Relate.

Ian Truffet

Ian has had a long and distinguished career with the Prison Service, serving in a number of senior management roles. In 1993 he became involved in investigating deaths in custody, and in 2004 he joined the Prisons & Probation Ombudsman’s Office (PPO) to help set up the policies and systems for the conduct of independent investigations. Since then Ian has personally conducted in the region of 40 investigations, the majority of which have been into self-inflicted deaths.

Ian retired from the PPO on 31 March 2009. Since then he has worked with SATC to design and deliver a new training programme for Fatal Incident Investigators in the PPO. His management experience also equips him to work on our leadership and management programmes. Ian is also working as an international adviser in the field of suicide prevention and fatal incident investigations within prisons.
